Jody is a Colorado native and alumni of the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduating with a degree in Political Science from CU Boulder, Jody moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked as a legislative correspondent and legislative aide for then Congressman Mark E. Udall. Jody moved back west to attend law school in 2006 and, while attending law school, represented UW Law School in the regional trial competition her second and third year. She was published in the University of Wyoming Law Review in 2008 and became a case note editor her third year. She graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law in May 2009.

Jody was recognized as the International Association of Trial Lawyers Student of the Year from the University of Wyoming College of Law, and also received the Excellence in Advocacy award. She joined White and Steele in August 2009. Jody has appeared in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She practices in a broad range of practice areas, including tort liability defense and labor and employment defense.
