June 2015 Metro Caring Volunteering Night

Karen Caston, Jim Dieterich, Susan Portillos, Rachel Ryckman and husband Alex lent a hand in the marketplace instead of the usual warehouse shift during the June volunteering night. They really enjoyed getting a more personal view of how much Metro Caring helps those in need, as the marketplace shift lets volunteers interact one on one with Metro Caring’s clients.

“As always, volunteering at Metro Caring last week was a very fulfilling and positive experience.  This evening was even more so as we all got to work in the marketplace and interact with the participants.   With the holiday weekend approaching, it meant a lot to me to be a part of helping those in need of assistance obtain healthy, fresh food to provide for their families in celebrating Independence Day.”     -Karen Caston
